Is the family defined as just people living together who love each other? I think not.
First off, what is love? We have millions of songs trying to define it. I once read the book Don't Take Love Lying Down by Brad Henning. He defined love as the following, "Choosing the highest good for the other person." This definition can apply to any loving relationship. Love isn't some sexual drive. If we really do love someone we will do what's in their best interest.
One of the social trends going on is cohabitation. I don't think that this is family. I think if you are truly in love, you would commit to marriage. What's the big deal with marriage anyway? Some say that we just want to see if we could live together and if it works out, then we'll talk about marriage. I think the main reason this is so prevalent in today's society is that our generation won't commit to anything. We're too worried that something better might come up or we don't want to deal with the consequences if it turns out for the worst.
These trends in the degeneration of the family really frighten me. What is our world coming to?
It is great that you were able to see how the disintigration of the family affects society. The left can try to cover it up but they can't stop the downfall by promoting their liberal ways.
